How to Get to Beaver Creek

Beaver Creek is located in the central Rocky Mountains of Colorado, just 120 miles west of Denver and just 20 miles east of Eagle off of Interstate 70. Located in the heart of Colorado's central Rocky Mountain Range, you'll find it is very easy to access Beaver Creek by air or land.

Beaver Creek is located in the central Rocky Mountains of Colorado, just 120 miles west of Denver and just 20 miles east of Eagle off of Interstate 70.

 From Denver International Airport (DEN) and points East:

  • Take Pena Boulevard from DIA to Interstate 70 (I-70) west
  • Proceed for approximately 120 miles (estimated time: 2 hours 15 minutes) to the Avon exit #167
  • Enter the roundabout and continue left. You will be heading south, and should go back under I-70
  • Continue straight on this road through 4 more roundabouts, after which you will see the entrance to Beaver Creek
  • Proceed to the Welcome Gate

 From Eagle County Airport (EGE) and points West:

  • Take Cooley Mesa Road (main airport road) to Highway 6. Take a right on Highway 6. You will be heading east.
  • Follow Highway 6 to signs for Interstate 70 (I-70) east.
  • Proceed on I-70 for approximately 20-25 minutes, to the Avon exit #167.
  • At the bottom of the exit, take a right around the roundabout. You will be heading south. Proceed straight through 3 more roundabouts, after which you will see the entrance to Beaver Creek.
  • Proceed to the Welcome Gate

Skiing

Winter activities take place from Mid-November to Mid-April, depending on snow conditions. For world-class downhill skiing, guests can access Beaver Creek Mountain via the Riverfront Express Gondola outside our back door or via free Beaver Creek shuttles that operate from 7am to 11pm daily. Schedules vary.

Mountain access varies based on time of season, but is typically between 9am and 4pm. Beaver Creek Sports, on site, offers a variety of equipment rental packages for downhill skiing, snowboarding and snowshoeing. Lift tickets can be purchased at the Vail Resorts Lift Ticket Office at the top of the Riverfront Express Gondola. Ski and Snowboard School is available through Vail Resorts for ages three and up; reservations not required but helpful.
 
Guests can ski Vail Mountain on the Beaver Creek lift ticket. Vail Mountain is nine miles from the hotel, and transportation options include the Vail Valley ECO Transit System, which operates daily from 6am to 2am and costs $3 one way from Avon to Vail. Guests may also drive to Vail via Interstate 70; parking is available in the Village for a daily price. Fees vary based on season. 

Copper Mountain is 20 miles east of Avon and can be accessed by car (no other transportation options are available). Summit County is 30 miles away and offers skiing at Breckenridge, Keystone and Arapahoe Basin Mountains. A bus does leave from the Vail Valley Transit Center to Summit County once a day; schedules and pricing vary by season. Aspen and Snowmass mountains are each located 100 miles from Avon.

Getting to Beaver Creek, Vail & Edwards

Our complimentary Westin Riverfront Shuttle runs daily to the Beaver Creek Village, Edwards and Vail. Contact Service Express or our Vacation Planning Desk for specific times and pick-up locations. All shuttle trips are on a first-come, first-serve basis. This service is offered from Thanksgiving to mid-April.

You may also drive to Vail or Beaver Creek Village.  Hourly parking is available in multiple garages.
