2020 IBAT Regional Meetings

2020 IBAT Regional Meetings
Postponed

Message from Christopher Williston:

"It is with great disappointment that I announce that round two of IBAT’s Tour de Texas Regional Meetings is postponed until further notice. The IBAT Associate Member Networking event scheduled for Houston on Wednesday, March 25, 2020 is also postponed.

Based on responses from your fellow IBAT members and heeding the advice of medical and government officials, we have elected to do our part to ensure we are not contributing to the community spread of COVID-19.

However, as these are critical times for our industry, we WILL BE CONDUCTING an Industry Update Call on Tuesday, March 24th at 10:30a.m (Central Time).

The call will include:
• Commissioner Charles Cooper of the Texas Department of Banking;
• IBAT General Counsel Karen Neeley;
• IBAT Director of Government Relations Steve Scurlock;
• A representative from The Baker Group;
• An ICBA representative.
As we continue to evaluate the impact of COVID-19, other resources may also be brought onto the call to deliver critical information for IBAT members. Since you were already registered for the regional tour, we have proactively registered you for this call.

We hope that by doing our part we can help limit the spread of the virus. It has already robbed us of our ability to gather with one another for networking and professional development in the short term. If it is not under control soon, it will limit our ability to take our voices to Capitol Hill.

I look forward to seeing you at the rescheduled meetings in the months ahead. Please know that IBAT stands ready to assist you and your team.

May God bless you and the work that you do to assist your communities of service."

If you are not already registered for the round two regional meetings, you may register for this webinar here.

Each year, IBAT hits the road to bring a legislative, regulatory and economic update to bankers across Texas. Join IBAT Chairman Richard Scanio and other distinguished panelists, including Commissioner Charles Cooper, as we bring the Texas community banking message into your backyard.

In 2020, IBAT will host twelve meetings across the state. IBAT member and non-member bankers are encouraged to bring members of their team to receive the latest industry information and to provide feedback to the association as we seek to serve you. This is an opportunity for our members to be heard, help us better understand the unique challenges you face each and every day, shape our future agenda and network with fellow community bankers in your area.
