Purpose That Became a Movement

Lieutenant Colonel Dan Rooney founded Folds of Honor in 2007 to provide educational scholarships to the spouses and children of fallen or disabled military service members. The organization later expanded its mission to include the families of first responders.

What began as one person’s decision to act has grown into a nationally recognized organization that has awarded nearly 73,000 scholarships totaling more than $340 million.

It is a story of service, persistence and the difference one person can make when purpose becomes action.

Cord McCoy’s story reaches far beyond his years as a professional bull rider. He has competed around the world, fought his way back from a devastating accident and built a career rooted in teamwork, livestock and Western heritage.

Alongside his brother, Jet, Cord became a fan favorite during three seasons of CBS Television’s The Amazing Race, where their teamwork and determination carried them through challenges across the globe.

Today, Cord remains closely connected to the sport as a PBR color commentator, bull trainer and producer of PRCA ProRodeos.
