Regulator Roundtables
Senior banking regulators will discuss current issues and trends in their agencies.  We will have separate concurrent sessions for state banks and national banks.

The Economic Outlook for Investors and Business Decision Makers

Dr. Mark G. Dotzour is a real estate economist who served for 18 years as Chief Economist of the Real Estate Center at Texas A&M University in College Station.  He now focuses his time on analyzing current economic conditions and communicating his analysis to others.  Dotzour combines academic training in economics, real estate, finance and history to make sense of current economic trends.

Legislative and Regulatory Discussion
IBAT President and CEO Chris Williston will take the stage with Tim Zimmerman and John Ryan for what promises to be a lively and informative discussion of the key federal and legislative issues facing our industry.  Zimmerman is a community banker from Pennsylvania and the current Vice Chairman of the Independent Community Bankers of America.  Ryan is President and CEO of the Conference of State Bank Supervisors.

A Conversation with Robert Kaplan

Many of you met Rob Kaplan at IBAT’s 2015 convention when he was in his third week as President and CEO of the Dallas Fed.  After serving in that position for a year, Kaplan will sit down for a candid interview to discuss the economy, monetary policy and bank regulation.

Rick Brophy, Sandy Brown, Chet Fenimore and Peter Weinstock are considered among the cream of the crop when it comes to Texas bank lawyers.  IBAT General Counsel Karen Neeley will get their input on the burning issues confronting us today.  The panel will also answer questions from the audience, so here’s your chance to ask the experts!
